Over the past month we have noticed an increase in scamming and phishing emails or calls, attempting to steal personal information. Please be reminded of some simple steps to help protect you and your information, and reduce the risk of cyber crime.

  1. Be careful when opening any unexpected links in emails from us, and make sure it is related to a matter you are aware. If you unsure, please contact our office to confirm.
  2. Check the email message content, our emails should provide detailed information about the matter. If you unsure, please contact our office to confirm. 
  3. Always check that any email from our organisation ends with @prespaconsultancy.com.au regardless of the senders name. If you receive a suspicious email from us, please notify our office immediately.
  4. The ATO does not issue warrants for your arrest. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be the ATO, ask them to call your tax agent, and select the below link to report the matter to the ATO. ato.gov.au
