With South Australia in a 7day lockdown from the 21st of July, there are significant impacts on many of you as business owners or as employees of industries unable to operate during this period. You may have also heard of payments and grants available to eligible businesses and individuals, and below is a summary with relevant links to help you navigate the process during this challenging time.

Business Support Grant Eligible SA small and medium businesses impacted by the latest COVID-19 restrictions can access a one-off $3000 emergency cash grant and a one-off $1,000 emergency cash grant to help cover operating costs such as rent, power bills and suppliers. |
To be eligible for the one-off $3,000 grant, a business must as at 12:01am Tuesday 20 July 2021:
To be eligible for the one-off $1,000 grant, a non-employing business/sole trader must meet the criteria above excluding the employment requirement. |

COVID-19 Disaster Payment for non-regional SA Workers
Commonwealth Government’s $375 or $600 per week COVID-19 Disaster Payments Income support for regional SA Workers or The SA Government will provide fully-funded income support payments of up to $600 pw for eligible workers in regional SA, who live or work outside of the Commonwealth-declared ‘hotspot’ local government areas of Adelaide metro, Hills and Gawler areas |
You are an Australian Resident or hold a Visa that gives you the right to work in Australia
The payments will be made in arrears for the lockdown. Applications for income support payments to eligible SA individuals outside the Commonwealth declared hotspots can be made from 28 July.
